The French Film Classics in the Czechoslovakian film poster

French Institute, Prague (1. 9. 2007 - 1. 10. 2007) —

An exhibitionthat took place in the French Institue, Prague introduced the most succesful Czechoslovakian film posters for the French films. Attendants at French Institute acquainted with great Czechoslovakian posters for films by cult directors as:Jean-Luc Godard, Francoise Truffaut or Robert Bresson.

In a cinema lobby, in a cafe and in a mediatheque of the French Institue, Prague were exhibited over forty posters for the French film classics. Lookers-on could have seen cultivated posters by Jiří Hilmar for films Breathless Crazy Pete. Next, a great collage poster by Karel Teissig for film made by Rene Claire Three Fables of Love or a cult poster Barbarella by Jan Saudek and many others.
