Blood, Tears and Screams!

Kino Aero, Prague (1. 2. 2010 - 15. 3. 2010) —

A highly profiled exhibition of Czechoslovak and Polish film posters, displayed in the conjunction with the 6th edition of the Shockproof Film Festival". The exhibition introduces film posters which would normally be stored in the darkest drawers of our collection! Blood, Tears and Screams offers posters from some of the most disgusting genres of film!

The Czech film poster school is represented by the craggy collages of František Zálešák whose Doktor Sommer indeed, threatens the shit out of you. Vaca’s collages, The Bad Night and Law Breakers, are “horrible”. However, these are just like a smooth nipple kiss compared to the Polish representatives in our collection. A cult Polish shockproof designer, Franciszek Starowieyski, never hesitates to put in a scull, bone or a drop of blood. Above all of them, Walkuski’s design for Wajda’s film Danton has been challenging all other shockproof film posters for many years, without no competitors yet.
