Míšek, Karel

I studied Industrial Art at University in Prague in the studio of Prof. František Muzika.
I finished my studies in 1970. From 1970 to 1973 I studied Fine Arts at the Warsaw Academy with Prof. Henryk Tomaszewski. I principally work with poster creation and Graphic Design. Since 1994 I am a professor at the Faculty of Art and Design in the UJEPFUD
In 1999 I was appointed professor at the habilitation procedure at the University of Applied Arts in Prague.
In 2006 I defended my doctoral thesis and received my doctorate Ph.D. at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
In 2013 I was appointed professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw by the president of Polish Republic.

Most Important Achievements
From 1970s – 1990s I worked with the National Theatre, later with the E. F. Burian Theatre and the S. K. Neumann Theatre in Prague, with the orchestras of the Czech Philharmonic, the Symphonic Orchestra of Czech Radio and others. >From 1997 I have been working with the Městské divadlo (Municipal Theatre) in Ústí nad Labem.
